It often seems like yesterday, however it was 1981 when I began what I knew would be my lifelong professional journey as a financial and investment advisor. From the beginning, my focus has been on establishing long-term client relationships empowering individuals, couples and families to make informed investment decisions with confidence. I believe financial success is not determined solely by wealth accumulation but by having an investment strategy that provides confidence, fulfills personal responsibility, and allows life choices that are consistent with one’s values.  This is core with the Newman Group, and we are committed to maintaining trust and providing steady guidance to our clients throughout the years. We would welcome the opportunity to assist you in your financial life journey.

I grew up in Rochester and graduated from John Marshall High School. I was blessed to have 2 amazing high school coaches who guided me to be a 3-time state track champion and a starting guard on the 1973 State Tournament 3rd place basketball team.  I share this because I often find myself being a coach to our clients providing encouragement when needed and discipline when warranted. Both are often necessary for financial success and many life ventures. After attending the University of Texas running track my love of basketball brought me back to the Midwest and I graduated from Northern State University in Aberdeen South Dakota.

Over the past 35 years, my wife Carol and I developed a passion of appreciating the past and have toured museums and attended antique auctions throughout the country collecting Victorian era antique furniture, porcelain, and glassware.  Carol is an accomplished florist and designer, and we’ve had an amazing time over the years landscaping and creating flower gardens in our Rochester home. Just last year I picked up my prior love of running, participating in 5K races, and after being told I need a hobby by many, I chose golf. My most peaceful time of the day will be after work, pushing our 5-pound Mi-ki Peaches around the neighborhood in her purple stroller!
